SUV through AutoHalal
The SUV is Germany's best-selling body style, and the one where an interest burden weighs heaviest, because purchase prices are high. That is exactly where the difference shows: under a Murabaha the trade margin is written into the contract and stays there. SUVs imported from the US are also often better equipped than the European version of the same model line, because all-wheel drive, large engines and comfort packages are standard there.
The financing comes from a partner, not from us: AutoHalal is the marketplace, and the financing partner buys the vehicle and resells it to you with the margin disclosed. That margin is set once and never recalculated — there is no variable component that can move your instalment later.
Importing a SUV from the US — what matters
With an SUV, look closely at the drivetrain: what is sold as four-wheel drive in the States is often a part-time system rather than permanent all-wheel drive. For everyday use in Germany that rarely matters; at resale it does. Second, engine size — large displacements are cheap over there and expensive here in vehicle tax. We set out both in the offer before you sign, so the running costs are not a surprise.
Customs, transport and registration
Importing from the United States means import duty and import VAT, plus sea freight and registration under German law. We cover 50% of the customs costs and 100% of the transport, including to France, Spain, Italy and Switzerland. Whatever remains is set out in full in the offer before you sign — there is no line item that appears only at handover. Converting the car to European requirements, lighting and odometer among them, is part of the process and not your problem.
